KATHARINA NUTTALL
Katharina Nuttall is an artist, musicproducer and composer living in Stockholm, Sweden.
The 7th of May 2008 she released her soloalbum "Cherry Flavour Substitute" in Scandinavia on her own label Frances Records. The album got great reviews and now it will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland the 24th october 2008 through Cargo Records.
"Cherry Flavour Substitute offers ten personal songs and a strong version of the New Order classic "Blue Monday". The material presents Katharina Nuttall as a wilful artist who succeeds in blending her straightforward lyrics with beautiful melodies that are often punctured by rock and raw elements. Always striking a pose in the melodies, is Katharina´s extensive voice.
"Cherry Flavour Substitute" is an epic dark and suggestive album, arranged and produced by Katharina Nuttall and her bass guitarist Lars Jonasson Rinman who has also written some of the material together with Katharina.
The album was recorded in 2007 in Stockholm and Visby in Sweden and mixed by Dag Lundquist at Decibel Studios and by Christoffer Lundquist (Brainpool, Roxette and others) at Aerosol Grey Machine Studios.
The aesthetic videos for "Staring at the sun" and "Place of hope" are directed by
Magnus Renfors.
Katharina was born in Norway in 1972 and grew up in Norway and England. She has lived in Stockholm since 1994 and works as a musician, composer and musicproducer.
Katharina Nuttall has earlier made progress as a producer for other artists and their best selling albums, she has written film music and released band albums.
