Hindi Zahra, young french singer of marocan origins, blends together with fabulous
success folk music, urban soul et desert blues.

Born in Khouribgha (marroco)n of Touareg & Berber origin, Hindi Zahra's fabulously
emotionnal voice knows no frontiers.
Her music is an ancestral blues, a pure jazz, an oriental vibration, and talks of love, and self-
determination, in a world where nothing counts more then human contact, life and freedom.

Her songs breath of nostalgia for her motherland, and her impossible wish to be both there
and here at the same time, but always in an optimistic point of view. Coming from a line of
artists and singer, most famously her mother, Hindi was very early on in contact with such
diverse music as gnawa music, Dylan's folk/rock, Marley's reggae and all this can be felt in
her fusion music (in a literal sense).
Totally self-taught, writer, singer and compositor all at the same time, the american magazine
WIRE as already compared her to a Django Reinhardt meeting Billie Holiday ! ANd her live
reputation preceedes her.
